CrossFit has grown massively in recent years from an underground hardcore training system to a more main stream clean cut training system to meet the masses. The great thing about CrossFit is that it is without a doubt the single best training system for the general public because it is designed to improve complete fitness which is what 99% of people want to achieve.

The main reason CrossFit is a great workout is because it provides you with an total body workout that will get you in the best shape of your life. It is designed to make you not specialise in anything, but to be good in everything. Simply ask around and speak to a person who is doing CrossFit and ask them about the results they have achieved and I promise they will tell you they have become fitter, faster, stronger and leaner because of it.

CrossFit is for EVERYONE !!

I’m too old to do CrossFit right? I’m not in good shape so I can’t do CrossFit right? WRONG!!! CrossFit is for everybody because every workout can be tailored to the individual. If you aren’t in great shape the workouts can be made easier for you by lowering the number of reps, the amount of weight, the duration of the workout or the length of runs, among many more. If you have an injury, exercises can be substituted to accommodate your injury while keeping your progress moving forward and rehabilitating your injury. CrossFit is Programmemed to exceed the needs of the fittest people on the planet but scalable to anyone, simply meaning that in any Programme, we can include high skill movements to challenge the fittest people in the world but scale that right back so your grandparents can do a similar movement suited to their ability. A good example would be olympic weightlifting which is very high skill and we can get one fit skilled athlete to clean a barbell while we can get a new and unfit athlete to swing a kettlebell and perform a squat with it and they have achieved a similar stimulus. CrossFit is FUN !!

There are so many reasons why CrossFit is fun. There is loud music playing to keep you excited during the workout. There are coaches present who are motivating you to push yourself harder than you thought you could. You become friends with the other members who attend the same classes you do so you cheer each other on during the workouts. Most CrossFit gyms do a lot of other activities outside of the normal workouts at the gym. Some examples, team workouts, charity events, competitions, social nights out and much more. You are truly part of a tight community when you are a member of a CrossFit gym and it is a great feeling. Because CrossFit is constantly varied you never get bored from doing the same workout every time you go to the gym.
